William Morgan Thompson's Obituary
William "Bill" Morgan Thompson, age 90 of Middleburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday December 24th, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital. He was born in Walnut Hill, KY on October 20th, 1924 to the late Clay and Ettie Morgan Thompson.
Bill was a farmer, a former Casey County Magistrate for District 3 serving 13 years, U.S. World War II Navy Veteran, active member of Middleburg Baptist Church serving as song leader for twenty Years.
Survivors include his wife: Ada Avoniel Short Thompson whom he married on May 1st, 1946, One Daughter: Gwen and (Donny) Grider of Middleburg, Two Grandsons: Donovan and Chaz Grider both of Lexington, Two Brothers: Clifford Thompson of Sharonville, OH and Lillard Thompson of Richmond, KY.
Preceding him in death besides his parents are Three Brothers: Clayton, Otis and Homer Thompson and Four Sisters: Irene Witt, Christine Sharp, Evelyn Delk and Inas Clements.
Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Sunday December 28th, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Middleburg and after 11:00 A.M. Monday at Middleburg Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday December 29th, 2014 at Middleburg Baptist Church. Rev. Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will be in the Middleburg Cemetery.
