William Jason Tapscott age 78, of Springfield, KY passed away on Saturday May 11 ^th , 2019 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born in Liberty, KY on July 14 ^th , 1940 a son of the late George Richard "Buster" Tapscott and Willa Bell Taylor Tapscott.

Jason was the widower of Sylvia Mae Tapscott who passed away on January 12 ^th , 2018.

Jason was a retired mechanic for the city of Springfield, KY.

Survivors include: Five Daughters: Mary Lou Bewley of Willisburg, Jacqueline Renee Duker of Shepherdsville, KY, Brenda Lee Ross of Danville, KY, Rebecca Arlene Jacobs of Bradfordsville, KY and Patricia Hartman of Casey Co, Three Sons: William Edward Tapscott of Springfield, KY, Robert Jay Tapscott of Campbellsville, KY, and Roy Hartman of Casey Co., Sixteen Grandchildren, Thirty Two Great Grandchldren, Five Sisters: Drenda Rose Robinson of Harrodsburg, Delota Vee McClendon of Nancy, KY, Wanda Lee Acey of Perryville, KY, Nancy Lulabell Gorley of Lebanon, and Beulah Ann Johnson of Hustonville, KY.

Preceding him in death besides his parents and spouse was One Daughter: Robin Poynter.

Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Wednesday May 15 ^th , 2019 and after 8:00 A.M. on Thursday May 16 ^th , 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday May 16 ^th , 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Tapscott Cemetery.
