William Samuel Hess, age 81, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Wednesday April 17th, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital. He was born November 3rd, 1942, in Robinson, IL, a son of the late Orlando Nelson Hess and Flossie Juanita Culp Hess.

William was the widower of Roberta Mercer Hess who passed away on January 1st, 2018.

William was a Retired U.S. Air Force Veteran and a Retired Casey Co. School Bus Driver.

Survivors include: three sons: Bill Hess of Liberty, Robert and (Christina) Hess of MN, and John and (Katrina) Hess of Liberty, four grandchildren: Hannah, Kira, Aryona and Eli and one sister: Sue Grotts of Pana, IL.

Preceding him in death besides his parents and spouse was two children, one grandson: Kyler Hess and one sister: Janie Walters.

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Monday April 22nd, 2024, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday April 23rd, 2024, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Father Jinto Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bernards Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard.
