Virgil Bastin age 94, of Middleburg, KY passed away on Friday July 26 ^th , 2019 at the Casey County Hospital. He was born in Hustonville, KY on November 23 ^rd , 1924 a son of the late Clarence Morgan Bastin and Gertrude Wall Bastin.

Virgil was a Retired Certified Welder for Seller's Engineering, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of Middleburg Baptist Church.

Survivors include: His Spouse: Frankie Marie Jones Bastin, Two Daughters: Charlotte and (Gary) King of Liberty and Wilma Jean and (Larry) Caudill of Taylorsville, KY, One Son: Kenny and (Betty Jo) Bastin of Middleburg, Seven Grandchildren and Thirteen Great Grandchildren.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was Four Brothers: Herman, L.C., Jason and Glancy Bastin and Four Sisters: Crisha West, Annie Scarbough, Mame Bastin and Lula Bastin.

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. Sunday July 28 ^th , 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday July 29 ^th , 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Keith Bowling officiating.  Burial will be in the Middleburg Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Casey County Honor Guard.
