Vernon "Cotton" Overstreet age 89, of Lancaster, KY passed away on Saturday April 6 ^th , 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born in Liberty, KY on June 8 ^th , 1929 a son of the late Virgil Overstreet and Myrtle Thompson Overstreet Cox.

Vernon was the former Owner of a Furniture Business in Indiana and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Era.

Survivors include: His Spouse: Annie P. Shaw-Overstreet and Two Grandchildren: Scott Overstreet of NY and Jolene Tibbitts of NY.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was One Son: Glenn Overstreet and Five Brothers: Tifford, Kenneth, Richard, Harold and Danford Overstreet.

Visitation will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday April 12 ^th , 2019 at Salem United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday April 12 ^th , 2019 at Salem United Methodist Church. Pastor Odis Clark, Rev. Cheryl Pingel, Bro. Don Lear and Rev. Marvin Overstreet officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.
