It is with great sadness that the family of Sylvia Yates announces her passing after a brief illness, on Saturday September 29 ^th , 2018 at the age of 71.

She was born on October 4, 1948 in Casey County, KY to the late Ransom and Myrtle Spears Coleman.

Sylvia will be lovingly remembered by her husband of thirty eight years Bruce Yates.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by three brothers: James (Jim) Coleman, Cole Coleman, George (Butch) Coleman and two sisters: Mae Raney and Shirley Rayborn. Four sisters survive: Nancy Coleman of Yosemite, Gearldine Woods of Lancaster, Viola Sallee of Middleburg and Pauline Wright of Liberty. One brother survives Paul Coleman of Liberty. Sylvia will forever be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

A Funeral Service in memory of Sylvia will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 2 ^nd , 2018  with Visitation at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Bartle Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating.

Interment will in the Durham Cemetery Casey County, KY.
