Sam Rodgers, age 86, of Liberty, KY passed away on Tuesday December 20 ^th , 2016 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born in Liberty, KY on February 9 ^th , 1930 a son of the late Clarence and Sydney Woodrum Rodgers.

Sam was a Mechanic and a Farmer and a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include: His Wife: Margie Bertram Rodgers, whom he married on August 22 ^nd , 1951 and was married to for 65 years,  Four Sons: Harold Dewayne and (Donna) Rodgers of Palm Coast, FL, Dennis and (Brenda) Rodgers of West Chester, OH, Mike and (Denise) Rodgers of Liberty and Kenny Rodgers of Liberty, Two Daughters: Rose and (Al) Atwood of Liberty and Theresa and (Dwight) Coffman of Liberty, Twelve Grandchildren, Sixteen Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was Four Brother: Lucian, Clay, Richard and Amos Rodgers and Two Sisters: Opal Marples and Laurie Burchell.

Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Thursday December 22 ^nd , 2016  and after 8:00 A.M. on Friday December 23 ^rd , 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel . Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Friday December 23 ^rd , 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.  Bro. Dwight Coffman and Bro. Gale Durham officiating. Burial will be in the Peavey Cemetery.
