Richard A. Montgomery age 75, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Thursday May 30th, 2024, at the U.K. Medical Center. He was born July 18th, 1948, in Chilton, KY, a son of the late Hubert and Alma Fights Montgomery.

Richard was a Land Surveyor, Engineer, was retired from the Kentucky Department of Highways, former Casey County Surveyor, Councilman for the City of Liberty, and was honored as a KY Surveyor of the year 2012 and 2014.

Survivors include: his spouse: Connie Elmore Montgomery, two daughters: Dr. Erica Montgomery Turner and (Dr. Michael Turner) of Liberty, and Sami Montgomery Wilson and (G. Davis Wilson) of Paris, four grandchildren: Guy Michael Turner, Ramsie Kate Turner, Samuel Speakes Wilson and Barrett Montgomery Wilson and one brother: Rande and (Erin) Montgomery of Shambaugh, IA.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was one sister: Margaret Ellen Foster.

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Sunday June 2nd, 2024, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel and after 11:00 A.M. on Monday June 3rd, 2024, at Liberty United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday June 3rd, 2024, at Liberty United Methodist Church. Dr.. Barclay T. Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
