Renita A. Murphy, age 64, of, Kings Mountain, KY, passed away on Wednesday May 13th, 2026, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born July 30th, 1961, in Liberty, KY, a daughter of the late Leon and Elizabeth "Betty" Maude Sneed Salyers.

Renita was the widow of Jeffrey Dale Murphy who passed away on June 26th, 2021.

Renita was the former lunchroom manager for C.C.H.S., she retired from the Casey Co. Board of Education after 24 years. She loved yard selling, thrifting, and called her family every Sunday night. She loved her grandchildren with a deep passion.

Survivors include: one son: Jason (Amy) Murphy of Cumming, GA, one daughter: Danielle (Neal) Weddle of Yosemite, four grandchildren: Ava Weddle, Jaxten Murphy, Evan Weddle and Ali Kate Weddle, and three brothers: Bobby (Kathy) Salyers of Frankfort, Randy (Debbie Grigsby) Salyers of Denton, TX and Terry (Sharlet) Salyers of Dunnville.

Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday May 16th, 2026, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 16th, 2026, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Greg Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Salyers Cemetery.
