Nancy Lee Markee, 51, of Loves Park, died Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Javon Bea Riverside in Rockford.

Nancy was born Nov. 24, 1971 to Gwendell Lee Edwards in Louisville, KY.  She occasionally enjoyed drawing and painting, and loved the country, gardening, planting flowers, and watching birds, especially hummingbirds at the feeders.

Nancy is survived by her husband Brian Markee of Loves Park, son Zachery K. Markee of Loves Park, sister Tina (Troy Scott) Loyall, and stepmother-in-law Sandy Markee.

She was preceded in death by her mother Gwendell Loyall, grandparents Evetene and Woodrow Edwards and Harold and Dorothy Loyall, and father-in-law Sonny Markee.

There will be a visitation from 5 PM until the 7 PM funeral service Thursday, June 22 at the Church of the Apostolic Road, 105 W. North St., Capron, IL 61012.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday June 24th, 2023 at Caney Fork Cemetery.

There will be a lunch following the service at Brush Creek Fire House.
