Maxine Stafford, age 93, of Liberty, KY passed away on Tuesday February 7 th , 2017 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. She was born in Liberty, KY on September 1 st , 1923 a daughter of the late George M. and Ada Brown Hatter.
Maxine was a Teacher and Instructional Supervisor for the Casey County School System,she was in the WAVES (Womens Accepted Volunteer Emergency Services) for the Navy during WWII and was a member of Westside Christian Church.
Maxine was the widow of Forrest "Bub" Stafford.
Survivors include: One Daughter: Donna Gail Stafford Rousey of Lexington, One Son: Danny Forrest Stafford of Loxahatchee, FL, Seven Grandchildren: Scott and Chad Rousey, Deborah Ristaneo, Heather Wilkos, Daniel, Matthew and Zachary Stafford, Seven Great Grandchildren: Nate and Adam Rousey, Loren, Robert and Lucy Ristaneo, Abby and Ava Maxine Wilkos, One Brother: Cecil and (Norma Jean) Hatter of Liberty and Two Sisters: Alma Vida and (R.C.) Weddle of Liberty and Imodean Roy of Loveland, OH.
Besides her parents and spouse Maxine was preceded in death by Two Sisters: Lizzie and Geneva Hatter.
Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Friday February 10 th , 2017 at Westside Christian Church and after 12:00 Noon on Saturday February 11 th , 2017 at Westside Christian Church. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday February 11 th , 2017 at Westside Christian Church. Bro. Marty Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery with Military Rites by the Casey County Honor Guard.
