Lewis Coleman Gilpin Jr., age 74 of Stanford, KY, passed away on Wednesday April 1st, 2015 at U.K. Hospital. He was born in Gilpin, KY on March 14th, 1941 to the late Lewis Coleman Gilpin Sr. and Edna Francis Wilson Gilpin.
He was retired from the Army Reserves and a former factory employee, a member of Trace Fork Separate Baptist Church and the Casey Lodge #424.
Survivors include his spouse: Sonja Putteet Gilpin, One Son: Eric T. Gilpin of Bardstown, KY, One Daughter: Victoria L. Murphy of Danville, KY, Five Grandchildren: Cruz B. and Blake Murphy, Madison, Jack and Charlie Gilpin and Four Sisters: Jenny Marcum of Hamilton, OH, Evalee Emerson of Evansville, IN, Sue Wall of Junction City, KY and Pauline Sharp of Stanford, KY.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by One Brother: Paul Gilpin.
Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Friday April 3rd, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel and after 12:00 Noon Saturday April 4th, 2015 at the Trace Fork Separate Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday April 4th, 2015 at the Trace Fork Separate Baptist Church. Bro. Richard Antle, Bro. Junior Holmes and Bro. Elvis Tucker officiating. Burial will be in the Trace Fork Cemetery.
