Leon M. Pettyjohn, age 87, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away on Wednesday June 21st, 2023, at Baptist Health Louisville. He was born December 25th, 1935, in Liberty, KY. He was the son of the late Oscar Lee Pettyjohn and Mayme Harrod Pettyjohn.

Leon was a carpenter a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include: Three Daughters: Vicki Linker of Indianapolis, IN, Carla Simpson of Stanford and T.C. Rogers of Perryville, Seven Grandchildren, One Great Grandchild, One Brother: Oscar Pettyjohn of Midway and One Sister: Inez and (Bobby C.) Woodrum of Liberty.

Preceding him in death besides his parents  was One Daughter: Lisa Jo Pettyjohn, Three Brothers: Donald, Flam "Dee" and Hugh Pettyjohn and Four Sisters: Alma Cowell, Mildred Denney, Helen Reed and Ina Pettyjohn.

Graveside Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday June 27th, 2023 at Caney Fork Cemetery. Dave Holt officiating. Burial will be in the Caney Fork Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the Casey County Honor Guard.
