James Ballard "J.B." Carmicle, age 77, of, Louisville, KY, passed away on Wednesday April 8th, 2026, at Story Point Middletown. He was born March 22nd, 1949, in Danville, KY, a son of the late James Monroe Carmicle and Kay C. Mills Carmicle.

J.B. was an educator, Vice President of Cashbox, owned 123 Answering Services, Publisher of Screenwrite Magazine and was the youngest D.J. in Kentucky.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was one brother: Donnie "Don" Carmicle.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday April 15th, 2026, at Glenwood Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
