James Marvin Hogue, age 79 of Liberty, KY departed this life on Monday September 21st, 2015 at the Casey County Hospital. He was born September 18th, 1936 in Liberty, a son of the late Charles and Mary Etta Campbell Hogue.
Marvin was an Independent Contractor, former employee of the State Highway Department and a former foreman of the Casey County Road Department. Marvin was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member to the National Fox Hunters Association, director of the Twin Lakes Lincoln Fox Hunters Association, a Kentucky Colonel and affiliated with the Democratic Party.
Marvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and known by his grandchildren, close family and friends as Poppy.
Survivors include his wife: Agnes Marie Bell Hogue, Three Sons: Jeff and (Julia) Hogue of New Salem, Greg and (Carla) Hogue of Liberty and Merl and (Gina) Hogue of Liberty, One Daughter: Lynn Faulkner of Liberty, Twelve Grandchildren: Katlyn, Mary Beth, Mac and (Jessica), B.J., Lindsay, Chase, Krystina, Jarrod, Chelcie and Molly Hogue, Isaac Lay and Logan Faulkner, Two Step-Grandchildren: Justin Brown and Wesley Buck, One Great Grandchild: Walker Hogue and Two Sisters: Delores Wilcher and Rebecca Lay both of Liberty.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was One Granddaughter: Myranda Hogue, One Sister: Mary Helen Wethington and Three Brothers: Charles Hogue Jr., J.W. Hogue and Murrell Hogue.
Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Wednesday September 23rd, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday September 24th, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Jason Alexander officiating. Burial Shady Grove Cemetery.
