Hershel Brown, age 81, of, Columbia, KY, passed away on Thursday August 20th, 2026, at his residence. He was born February 25th, 1945, in Dunnville, KY, a son of the late Earl and Ellen Bedwell Brown.

Hershel was a former butcher for Kroger and was a member of Brush Creek Pentecostal Church and Caldwell Community Chapel Church.

Survivors include: his spouse: Jeanette Faye Scott Brown, five children: Rita Faye Payne of Morgantown, IN, Charolette (David) Fruits of Stilesville, IN, Jerry (Beverly) Brown of Columbia, Jeffrey (Alesia) Brown of Cloverdale, IN and Debra Blackwell of Camby, IN, bonus daughter: Josie Agent of Columbia, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, two brothers: George (Carol) Brown of Columbia and Jimmy (Deborah) Brown of Columbia and three sisters: Doris McAnelly of Columbia, Sue Clarkston of Knifley and Beatrice "Midge" (Don) Rosenberger of Columbus, IN.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was one grandchild, one great grandchild, four brothers: Glen, Edward, John and Gordon Brown and one sister: Voicel Sanders.

Visitation will be held 7:00 P.M. Saturday August 22nd, 2026, at Brush Creek Pentecostal Church. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Sunday August 23rd, 2026, at Brush Creek Pentecostal Church. Bro. Scott Cochran and Bro. Jerry Brown officiating. Burial will be in the HIter Cemetery.
