Helen Strong, age 87 of Liberty, KY, passed away on Monday May 4th, 2015 at the Casey County Hospital. She was born in Liberty, KY on April 18th, 1928 to the late Cecil and Carrie Bell Gilpin Clements.
She was a housewife.
Survivors include: Three Sons: Tony and (June) Strong of Liberty, Teddy Strong and (Joanie Evans) of Liberty and Tim Strong and Special Friend Carol Lewis of Florida, Four Daughters: Vickie and (Jerry) Durham of Yosemite, Sharon Burton of Wymore, NE, Karen and (Mike) Bodner of Danville and LuAnn and (John) Byrd of Liberty, Twelve Grandchildren: Eric Strong, Shalimar, Jerika and Alan Durham, LaShay and Harley Byrd, Tasha Hancock Warren, Lindsay and Rose Pennington, Kailyn Strong, Maranda Blackeagle and Chad Meece, Two Step-Grandchildren, Eight Great-Grandchildren: Michael Jaden and Jackson Dane Warren, Ethan Strong, Kacee Knoop, Brielle Blackeagle, Alex and Blake Meece and Hope Wise, One Step-Great-Grandchild and One Sister: Pauline Helms of Holiday, FL.
Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her Spouse: Ethridge N. Strong, One Sister: Ina Woods and Two Brothers: James and Paul Clements .
Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Thursday May 7th, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel and after 9:00 A.M. on Friday May 8th, 2015 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday May 8th, 2015 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
