Gary Don Southerland, age 65 and a resident of Lewisville, Texas passed away on February 13th, 2016. Gary was born March 23rd, 1950 in Grapevine, Texas to James T. and Lou Alma (Dougherty) Southerland. He received his Associates Degree from Mountain View College in Dallas and went on to become a Machinist and opened his own business, Micron Machine & Tool in Dallas in 1984.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and by a grandson, Ben. He is survived by his wife Mildred Southerland, daughter, Lynn Kaye Meek, grandchildren, Brandi Stroud, Nathan Stroud, Megan Cooper, John Stroud and Kate Stroud, great grandchildren, Hannah, Aurora, John Conner, Lynzee, Bryce and Weston, sons-in-law, Steve Meek and Brad Cooper, two sisters, Debbie Elliott and Melana Zack and three nephews, James Elliott, Richard Zack and Russell Zack.
Visitation will be held Saturday February 20, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday February 21st, 2016 at Willow Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Willow Springs Cemetery.
