Eddie J. Rice, age 87, of, Middleburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday April 22nd, 2026, at the V.A. Medical Center. He was born April 12th, 1939, in Annville, KY, a son of the late Robert Charles Rice and Geraldine Witt Rice.

Eddie was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam, and he worked in maintenance.

Survivors include: his spouse: Roxie Wheeler Rice, three daughters: Beth Rice of Keavy, Susan (Kendall) Bradley of Knoxville, TN and Lorrie (Allen) Williams of Corbin, four grandchildren: Shelby Crawford, Whitney Fitzsimons, Jeremy Logan Rice and Jaelynn Cassidy Williams, six great grandchildren: Aubree Crawford, Luke Fitzsimons, Charlotte Fitzsimons, Elaine Fitzsimons, Kingston Williams and Poppy Kate Rice.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was one son: Charles Robert Rice, one sister: Wadonna Seals and one brother: James Rice.

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Sunday April 26th, 2026, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday April 27th, 2026, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Bill Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard.
