Earl W. Vaught, age 99, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Thursday March 3rd, 2016 at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, KY. He was born in Liberty, KY on January 23rd, 1917 to the late Dave and Alice Lane Vaught.
Earl was a farmer, member of West Side Christian Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
He was the widower of Edna Stafford Vaught.
Survivors include: Two Sons: James Vaught and Randall and (Rosey) Vaught both of Liberty, Two Daughters: Anna and (Thomas) Dickerson and Mary Sue and (Rufus) Shoopman both of Liberty, Five Grandchildren: Matthew Dickerson, Greg and Terry Vaught, Gwen Wesley and Lynn Campbell, Ten Great Grandchildren and Eight Great Great Grandchildren
Preceding him in death besides his parents and spouse was one grandson: Larry Vaught, five brothers: Sam, Riley, Elex, Elzie and Howard Vaught and six sisters: Alma and Maudie Vaught, Mary Taylor, Myrtle Steinhauer, Maggie Brown and Hazel King.
Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. Saturday March 5th, 2016 Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday March 6th, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Marty Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Casey County Veteran's Honor Guard.
