Charles Lucas, 90 of Middleburg, passed away Friday July 1, 2016 in Danville, KY. Born January 8, 1926, he was the son of Herman Francis and Zella Mae Lucas.
Charles was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He was a lifelong farmer and former employee of Watson's Gate Co. He attended Union College and was a lifelong member of Middleburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Dollie Evans Lucas, Two Sons: Curtis and (Patty) Lucas and Kenneth and (Kathy) Lucas all of Middleburg, One Daughter: Mary Ann and (Mark) Durham of New Salem. He is also survived by One Sister: Madelle Lucas Stafford of Danville, Seven Grandchildren, Two Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held 6:00-9:00 P.m. Sunday July 3rd at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday July 4th at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty. Bro Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Middleburg Cemetery with Military Honors by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard.
