Carole Jean Bastin Sims, age 78, of Kings Mountain, KY, passed away on Sunday January 24th, 2016 at the Casey County Hospital. She was born in Walltown, KY on March 22nd, 1937 to the late Oliver and Ruby Ware Bastin.
Carole was the widow of C.D. Sims Jr.
Carole was a teacher for the Lincoln County School System having taught in Waynesburg, McKinney and Kings Mountain and also a Kentucky Colonel.
Carole was of the Christian Church Faith.
Survivors include: One Brother: Harold Wayne and (Suzanne) Bastin of Kings Mountain and One Sister-in-Law: Nancy Bastin of Liberty.
Also preceding her in death besides her parents and spouse were: One Brother: Wendell Bastin.
Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Wednesday January 27th, 2016 Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 28th, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Brown Burial will be in the Middleburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Tim, Mark, Jeff and Daniel Bastin, Garryd and Rylan Buis.
Honorary Pallbearers: Pam Shipp, Angel Stephens, Alexis and Abby Hood, Deidra and Natalie Bastin and Danielle Blakeman.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in the form of Gideon Bibles.
