Avenell Murphy, age 91 of LaGrange, KY passed away on Wednesday April 28 ^th , 2021 at The Richwood. She was born in Casey Co., KY on January 6 ^th , 1930 a daughter of the late Albert and Myrtle Cochran Vanoy.

Avenell was the widow of Eugene Lumpkins and Claude Murphy.

Avenell was a Seamstress and a Homemaker.

Survivors include: One Daughter: Brenda and (Jerry) Helm of LaGrange, Daughter-in-law: Patsy Lumpkins of OH, One Step-Son: Jimmy Murphy of Lexington Eight Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren and One Brother: Russell Vanoy of Warsaw.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and spouses was One Son: Ronald Lumpkins, Two Step Sons: Dr. Ted K. Murphy and Joey Murphy, Three Brothers: Charles, Alvin and Herlin Vanoy and Six Sisters: Lydia Clark, Geneva Wilson, Geraldine Asberry, Irene Taylor, Sadie Sharp and Adell Camden.

A Walk Thru Visitation will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday May 1 ^st , 2021 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday May 1 ^st , 2021 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Clifton Cowan officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove  Cemetery.

Due to State Mandate: Masks will be required for the funeral and visitation.
